When paths cross

Always amazed at how God works out his plan, more amazed how He uses someone as insignificant as me! And, even more amazed when I trust the leadership of the Holy Spirit and then get to watch the plan of God unfold, in my life and also in the lives of others He puts in my path. These are the times that typically I have had another course thought I should take then thankfully stopped to pray, felt led to go another direction even though it didn't seem right, trusted in hearing my Fathers voice and then began to see the reason!
Praise the Lord for His kindness, patience, faithfulness and unfailing love.

Come to think of it, thank you Lord that we are not insignificant to you! Jeremiah 29:11

Kerby's Point of View - National Day of Prayer

Very good and interesting article regarding our National Day of Prayer today, May 3rd, 2012. I think it worth mentioning that Jesus asked His disciples, could you not watch and pray for even an hour? An hour here in the Greek did mean an hour as we know it but it also means, according to Strongs Concordance, a certain definite time or season. They kept falling asleep and the Lord kept trying to get them to wake up. Romans 13:11...for you know what a critical hour this is, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from your sleep...

National Day of Prayer
by Kerby Anderson

Today is the National Day of Prayer. It is a vital part of our American heritage.
The first call to prayer happened before the American Revolution. In 1775, the
Continental Congress called on the colonists to pray for wisdom as they considered how
they would respond to the King of England.

Perhaps one of the most powerful calls to prayer came from President Abraham
Lincoln during the Civil War. In 1863, he issued a proclamation for a day
of “humiliation, fasting and prayer.” Here is some of that proclamation.

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been
preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth
and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have
forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and
strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all
these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.
Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the
necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”

In 1952, Congress passed and President Harry Truman signed a resolution which
declared an annual, national day of prayer. In 1988, President Reagan signed into law a
bill that designated the first Thursday of May as the time for the National Day of Prayer.
That is why various celebrations throughout this country are taking place today.

It is estimated that there have been more than one hundred thirty national calls to
prayer, humiliation, fasting, and thanksgiving by presidents of the United States. There
have been sixty Presidential Proclamations for a National Day of Prayer because every
president has signed these proclamations. And there have been almost 1,000 state and
federal calls for national prayer since 1775.

Today is the National Day of Prayer. Please pray for this nation and its leaders.
I’m Kerby Anderson, and that’s my point of view.

Kerby's Point of View - Comprehensive Usually Fails

The part of this commentary that caught my attention was: "passion for conscious control of everything." It was
based upon what he called the "pretense of knowledge."

Comprehensive Usually Fails
by Kerby Anderson

If you pay attention to legislation, you will probably notice a trend. Any bill that
attempts to be comprehensive legislation usually fails. If you see a bill designated as
comprehensive immigration reform or comprehensive healthcare reform, you can guess
that it won’t do what promoters claim it will do.

Part of the problem is that something so large and comprehensive will be difficult
to understand. Listen to what some of the Supreme Court justices had to say about the
health care reform law.

Justice Stephen Breyer admitted,“I haven’t read every word of that I promise.” He
went on to list some of the elements in the law: “There is the mandate in the community,
this is Title I and II, the mandate, the community, pre-existing condition. . . . There is
biosimilarity, there is breast-feeding . . . there is the Class Act.” He finally asked, “So
what do you propose we do other than spend a year reading all this?”

Justice Antonin Scalia joked, “What happened to the Eighth Amendment?”
[which is the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment] “You really want us to
go through these 2,700 pages? And do you really expect the court to do that?”

But understanding such a comprehensive law is only part of the problem. In his
book, Road to Serfdom, economist Friedrich Hayek warned that bureaucrats may think
they have all the information and that they understand the complexity of a market, but
they don’t.

Hayek warned that such a road can be paved with good intentions. Most
government officials and bureaucrats write laws, rules, and regulations with every good
intention. But in their desire to control and direct every aspect of life, they take us down
the road to serfdom. He called it the “passion for conscious control of everything.” It was
based upon what he called the “pretense of knowledge.”

Markets, especially the health care market, are much more complex than
politicians and government bureaucrats might imagine. Wise and prudent government
must recognize that there are fundamental limitations in human knowledge. These are
some of the problems with comprehensive legislation and why we should avoid passing
such bills. I’m Kerby Anderson, and that’s my point of view.

Kerby's Point of View - Blindsided

Very powerful advice Kirby. Many times in the Bible God's folks not only new their position in the Lord but the enemies position as well. To me the greatest example of this is found in Matthew 4:1-10 when our Lord Jesus knew the position of the enemy and His position in the Father.

Love in Jesus,
Steve

Blindsided
by Kerby Anderson

Before the oral arguments at the Supreme Court concerning the health care law,
most people in the media and in President Obama’s administration were confident that
the law would be upheld. It is fair to say that many were surprised at the skepticism
of some of the justices and unprepared for many of the arguments of their political
opponents.

Ran Simberg (PJMedia.com) wrote, “Having seen the transcripts of Tuesday’s
hearing before the Supreme Court of the United States, I can only conclude that such a
concept—testing their arguments against those of their political opponents—not only
never occurred to the solicitor general or his defenders in the media, but that the very
notion that their arguments had any flaws never crossed their minds.”

Peter Suderman (Reason.com) asked, “What can explain liberals’ widespread
failure to anticipate the Court’s wariness of the mandate? Research conducted by the
University of Virginia psychologist Jonathan Haidt suggests one possible answer:
Liberals just aren’t as good as conservatives and libertarians at understanding how their
opponents think.”

James Taranto has even put forward what he calls the Taranto Principle. “The
liberal media work against the interests of liberal politicians by misleading them into
thinking that ‘everybody’ (or ‘all thinking people’) sees the world the way they do.”

Often liberal pundits and politicians have trouble understanding the views of
conservatives. And secular people often do not understand religious people. And usually
it puts them at the disadvantage.

I saw this at work in many of the debates that I have attended or moderated. In
the early days of the debates on creation and evolution, I would often begin to feel sorry
for the evolutionists who were outmatched by creation scientists who knew not only
their own scientific arguments but also their opponent’s. Debates between atheists and
Christian philosophers were often a mismatch for the same reason.

Whether a debate on campus or arguments before the Supreme Court, we can
see the danger of overconfidence and the failure to appreciate the arguments of your
opponent. I’m Kerby Anderson, and that’s my point of view.

Being a good Steward...

Some more Scripture from study & prayer regarding a recent Ministry I had with a group of men titled: Stewards of the House of God.

Matthew 28:16-20 and Mark 16:14-20 In these verses Jesus did not say, go if you want to or feel like it or go as long as you like the people your sent to share the Gospel with...He said GO, go proclaim, go demonstrate, go declare, go and show forth & display His virtues, power and Love-1 Peter 2:9. Also see Isaiah 43 & 44 where the Lord says several times that we are His witnesses!

I like the Saying I heard from a Minister some years back...God's Word is not some cafeteria line where you go through and pick & choose what you want!

Ephesians 1:10-with a view to an administration (Administration-the management of a household or of household affairs, specifically, the management, oversight, administration, of other's property, the office of a manager or overseer, stewardship.) suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.

According to 1 Peter 1:23 we have been born again by the imperishable & immortal seed, that is by the living and abiding Word of God. We have also been given & entrusted as stewards with this living and active Word, for ourselves but then to share and make disciples of all men-Matthew 28:18-20, and to show forth His excellencies-1 Peter 2:9

Also interesting that someone mentioned that it's time we spread out our tent. I asked him where he got that and he said it was something the Lord had been showing him. I asked the Lord to please show me in Scripture a clear direction that I should take in this endeavor. He directed me to many verses but this is the very first Scripture the Lord showed me: IS. 54:2,3 "Enlarge the place of your tent ; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs. For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities.

Romans 8... The Son's of God are led by the Spirit of God...How important is this? It goes on to say in 8:19 that even the whole of creation waits eagerly for the revealing & disclosing of the Son's of God!

Why pray and or end your prayer in the Name of Jesus?

Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Why? Because as John 1:1-5 states, 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

And then in v. 14-And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us,

and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

From the old Testament all the way through Jesus was heralded as the coming Redeemer. In the new Testament John the Baptist stated he was the Lamb of God that has come to take away the sins of the world-John 1:29

Because of just a few Scriptures we can see that all things were created by Him, through Him and all for Him, Hebrews 1:1-3. No one else could have ever paid the price of the perfect sacrifice and shed perfect, without sin blood for our Salvation and deliverance, Hebrews 4:15!

It’s no wonder that Acts 4:12 states:

And there is salvation in no one else ; for there is no other name under heaven that has beengiven among men by which we must be saved.

Also we see in 1 John 2:21-23 & 1 John 5 that those who claim that we all have the same God are wrong per what God says about it! His Word clearly states in these Scriptures, along with Acts 4:12that Jesus IS the only Name and Way!

These are but a few of the myriads of Scripture that point to Jesus, the Author and Pioneer of our faith. He is the living Word, the Creator and I hope that you will search and find other Scripture that lifts up and Glorifies the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and share them with others.

We can not nor should we ever get into the position of trying to force someone to pray in Jesus Name but share in Love the Gospel of Christ and why Jesus and Him alone deserves all our praise, honor, obedience and love. As Romans 1:16 states-

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

The Grace of our Lord and savior be with you,

Joshua 24:15

How do we lose our freedoms…Spiritual and natural freedoms

Sub title: The hour is very, very late.

I believe the greatest threat is what Jesus referred to in Rev. 3, the message or letter to the Church at Laodicea as being lukewarm, carelessness, indifferent, hopeless, giving up, deciding some things too hard or difficult, etc.  So caught up in the cares and worries of the world (Luke 21:34-36) and or being in love with the world and its things (1 John 2:15). The enemy waits for any opportunity to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), also see Genesis 4:3-7 as an example of the controlling, binding power of sin.

In the natural we lose them through the same process. We can look close to our own lives, to the neighborhoods and cities-States we live in and then ultimately to our own Government.

Some years ago, when the Real Estate and other markets were doing very well, since I knew the lateness of the hour, I asked the Lord to show me how things were going to progress & change, or better yet, how are we going to get to where the Word of God says we will be shortly. It was not long after that 9-11 took place. But even with that happening I really did not see the clear picture of future events unfolding. Of course I realized the gravity of the event, that it was terrible, sickening and scary, but not the big picture.  Some of that could be, for me anyway, due to shock and then anger at what had happened to our Country.

But not long after that the Lord began to redirect my vision and thoughts to getting back on track and paying closer attention to His voice! I cannot say I saw the subprime fiasco coming but knew in the Spirit that something was about to cause the rug to be pulled out from under us.

Sure enough, not only real estate, but the stock markets as well took a plunge and, just as 9-11 the Government stepped in to create what they called “consumer protection laws”. In other words, one way we lose our freedoms and the expediting of the needed “control” is to cause or assist in causing things to happen. Then, in this case the Government must step in to ensure public and consumer protection. Can we say homeland security? And now, as an example along the lines of real estate the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act?  This was the nail in the last piece of wood for me and I saw such a clear picture of not only what’s been going on but currently as well. I have known for some time about these things but when you get a complete revelation of the picture, it is a different ball game from then on!

You may ask, are you crazy Young? You may state that now I must sound like one of those “conspiracy theorists” out there!  Remember, cause or assist in bringing things and events to the fore front brings about the need for protection, security and leads to the desired control, or, how does our Country get from where we have been to where the end times of the Word says we will be.

I will continue to pray for my neighborhood, city, State and Country. I will not give up or give in but in Jesus Name all the while studying His Word and listening for His direction. I will stand firm on 2 Chronicles 7:14 among other Scripture and be the man and most of all the son of God that I’ve been called to be. I will stand on the Word and pray, standing in the gap, standing on the wall and fulfilling my priestly function until my Lord says enough and calls me up. I see no where in God’s Word that He gives me other direction. I see no where in His Word that says, well my son, since all this is going to take place anyway then you really don’t need to pray, or stand in the gap or position yourself on the wall, do you? Let me know if you do because as I’ve said before, this is not my first rodeo and I know for sure it’s not God’s first rodeo either. He says what He means and He means what He says! Yes, it will all come about exactly the way God says it will and it is even more important now than ever that we know and understand the end time prophecies, but we have a job to do, a fulfilling of our call, and, who knows if we have not been called to the Kingdom for such a time as this! We know! Because our Father God has revealed this to us!

Esther 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this ?"

Couple this with K Andersons point of view from 2-29-12:

How dependent have Americans become on the federal government? Sadly, they
have become very dependent. For starters, nearly half of all U.S. citizens live in
households that receive at least some government benefits. Expanding government
programs, coupled with the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, have
led to an explosion in the number of Americans relying on outside help. These benefits
include such things as unemployment insurance and food stamps.

To put this in perspective, the Heritage Foundation published The Index of
Dependence on Government. It highlights the dangers of America’s increasing
dependency on government programs. Today, more than sixty-seven million Americans
(from college students to retirees to welfare recipients) depend on the government for
food, housing, income, and student aid. These used to be considered the responsibility of
individuals, families, churches and other civic organizations.

Who knows if?...and what choice, vow and path of action will we take?

A statement and a question made by Mordecai to Esther in Esther 4:14...who knows IF you have not attained Royalty, power, a kingdom for such a time as this. The word if speaks of conditional clauses, of possible situations, of impossible situations. It's the same in "IF" my people in 2nd Chronicles 7:14. One singular word...IF has so much power. I've often written and spoke upon the power of choice, and rightfully so, but I have left out a power that follows that, and it is the power in the vow, the word spoken stemming from the choice made, then, the "legs" that put it all into motion & being, or as James says faith without works is dead.

Mordecai was issuing a Spiritual truth to Esther in the first part of verse 14, that first she must make a choice by stating: "For if  you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish."

Esther made a choice, as it turns out, the right choice, and then first believing what Mordecai had stated...who knows IF...she then made a vow and put into motion the power of her choice, the power of her vow, and finally the power of the putting into gear the power of all three. The outcome was blessed!

The "IF" that begins 2nd Chronicles 7:14 is just that powerful. IF My people...reminds me of Ezekiel 22 with God speaking of the sins of Israel and makes the statement in verse 30..."I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the landso that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. Please insert the word IF here! The understanding or revelation leads to what choice will you make leads to a vow that corresponds to that choice which leads to the path of action you take.

I must admit that the study of the power of the vow made after the choice which was made when we received knowledge and revelation of what God says came about from reading the book "The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn.  In it he outlines the vow given by Israel and ultimately by America found in Isaiah 9:10. Here is a choice made and a vow, but this time the vow is not good. It is a vow of pride and a vow of "we will do this in our own power and strength". The vow that we will rebuild is only bad when we look at the spirit and motive behind it. Take Nehemiah for example. He heard about the terrible condition of Jerusalem, its remnant and broken down walls and gates. But he did not say anything until he wept, fasted and confessed his sins and the sins of his people before the Lord and asked for His guidance, council and leadership. First came the revelation or knowledge, then what would he do with it? He had a choice, to become prideful and defiant as they did in Isaiah chapter 9, or fall on his face before the Only True God and Father. His choice was to first of all repent then his vow to God, then the power of choice continued with action but only after he repented and made sure he heard from God as to what He wanted him to do!

Here in lies the dichotomy of the two extremes. Both have power but one ended in judgment, the other ended in justice. One is rebuilt only to fall to the enemy, the other rebuilt to the Praise and Glory of God.

America is here, at this time. God is asking us a question, judgment or justice? He does not ever want judgment but when an individual, group or a nation removes Him from their lives, asks Him to please move out of the way so they can do their own thing, in their own strength and might, then they have ultimately asked for justice to be removed and there is nothing left by judgment and destruction. Or how will we escape if we neglect so great a Salvation?

IF My people and IF we who know, understand and have at least enough revelation and truth to know this is true do fall on our knees before the Holy God, repent for our own sins and the sins of our Country, to exercise the right power of choice, vow and action, God's promise is mighty! On the other hand the wrong power of choice, vow and action leaves no other outcome but judgment, and the enemy who hates God and all he stands for will be more than glad to accommodate!

And who knows IF we have not been called to the Kingdom for just such a time as this?
